These trucks clean up nice when you put in a little time...and a LOT of beer!

Looking forward to seeing the battleship grey exterior and arctic camo'd cargo cover. She'll be a beauty!
The lib neighbor shook her head yesterday as she walked by with her dog. I doubt she'll appreciate the pro-Reagan bumper stickers I just ordered for us.

Semi Trailer tread plate. End capped it after installing it - it is 2 1/2 inches inside the bumperetts for clearance. It is 5 1/2 inches above the top of the bumperetts - the center will be left open for accessing the holding tank and pics later of the finishPhoto2784.jpg

Apologize - had to get something done and left off on the above post.
The center pintle area will be left open - on top of each bumperette will be a 5 1/2 exhaust pipe run to each end. The center end of the pipe will be capped - the other end will have a flipper on it where I will store the holding tank hoses . The exhaust pipe that will fit over each bumper vertical piece will be slotted just to slide down - the pipe itself will be welded to the threshold plate above it.

Patracy helped in a PM with getting a replacement tire for the RF steer - and the gun ring itself gets installed tomorrow - will post some final pics of that when done. M909 RV Gun Truck.

Fitting for a gun truck - I have door decals getting made with this logo and will say Jokers Wild above it.imagesCA2JY78C.jpg

It has finally arrived!

After getting out of the game, I'm back in for at least a little bit, won this one on the fateful GL website broken day, still trying to decide what to do with her!

More pictures to come!

Tigger and Dwight came down from TN Fri night and took off Sat picking up the Deuce and half headed back home. Ron came down with the wrecker and we played for a while getting the gun ring installed and all bolted in - now to paint it.Photo2787.jpgPhoto2788.jpgPhoto2789.jpgPhoto2790.jpgPhoto2791.jpgPhoto2792.jpgPhoto2793.jpgPhoto2794.jpgPhoto2796.jpgPhoto2797.jpg

since I haul silage with my truck and overheating is a problem due to the silage getting into the radiator and on the top of the engine, I decided to install an Aux. air line to blow out the radiator on not only the truck but also the self propelled forage harvester. The tanks don't have enough reserve to run air tools, but maybe with adding another tank that may be a possibility, for now I'm just happy to be able to avert disaster by fire.

Installed my new door handle from vintage iron, and know it works like a charm! Thank you! I recommend him for fast shipping and quality parts with the low price to boot!

Side note: there are two "catches" on the cab. I deduced my door brook because of people pushing on the door while it was still latched on the outer catch. Since my door closes easier than a car door I ground off that outer catch leaving it with only the inner most catch. I believe this will solve and more broken door latches! Next to do is install handles to pull on so people quit trying to bend my door handle off, even though it closes so gently. I think they just assume it because of it being an army truck! Also I'am going to try fab up some combat locks!
