GP Relay - correct voltage?

Yes, it does make a difference. I added the petcock to the fitting closest to the firewall and the fuel drained out my setup.

I pumped it with the valve open, drained some fuel, closed the valve, and nothing. I tried to start it up and still nothing...zip...nada....
Maybe I'm not doing this in the right set up.

Do I need to open the valve at the bottom of the filter for any purpose?
I'm running out of time and options.
Help!?

Back in business. I believe there was air in my fuel line. I opened the bottom valve on the filter, pumped fuel through it, closed it, then opened my new petcock for the air, got fuel flowing through it, and tried again.

I did have to use a shot of ether, but she finally fired up. I ran it for a couple of miles and it seems as though it's running good, again.

Thanks for all the support.

Great news.

Since you got your running, why not come to OKC and get my CUCV-II running.

PS: be very careful with ether and glowplugs. When they mix things like to go BOOM!!!

Yeah...i noticed a bit of a flame when trying to start her up. I always keep a fire extinguisher near when working with fuel and sparks. :)

I'll head up and help you. When? :)

Fire extinguishers are pretty much useless when combating an explosion.

Your much luckier than you realize.

Glad you got her running. There is a sticker on the air cleaner that talks about ether. . . . and something about immediate engine damage. The glow plugs will ignite the ether before the valves close.
