Stonepicker may be thinning his herd soon. ;-)
Are you sure? He has 3 CUCV IIs, 3 crew cabs and only 2 duallys. He needs to either add a dually or convert one of the crew cabs to be in compliant with the 3 3 3 rule. If he sells one, the balance will be well off kilter.

Glad you got it going Joe. Watching the weather we got coming in the next 24 hours had me worried about you.
Glad it is finished also. I'm leaving for Seattle (JBLM) on Saturday in between storms. Hopefully Denver isn't snowed in.

Drove the truck today. No issues.

However the truck does seem to run better today than it has in a while. Quieter and a little more power. I have not changed out the PMD resister yet.

Just my imagination? Who knows.

Glad you got it going as well. I had a hard start issue with my 6.5 the other day. Leaking and dirty fuel filter was the offender.
Great info in this thread. Thanks Joe. [thumbzup] Happy and safe travels.

My CUCV-II wouldn't start the other day. The passenger side battery was weak, so I put it on a charger and it started right up. Checked the charging system and all was good.
Drove to the store and it almost didn't start.

Went back home, put the charger back on the battery and cleaned all the battery connections and made sure they were tight. Truck started right up.

Waited a few hours and truck wouldn't start(acted like low charge batteries)

I replaced the passenger battery with another good battery and now have no issues. Starts every time now.

The old battery was only 9 months old that I bought at TSC. The battery had a 30 month replacement. TSC exchanged it with another one, no charge.

The last thing I though it would be was the battery. Now I know every fuse and connection is good on this thing.:D

Goes to show you that before stating any electrical troubleshooting, make sure that batteries are fully charged and load tested.

Even new batteries can be bad.

Just an update:

If the passenger side battery (12v part of system) keep draining when parked, make sure you turn off the B/O Service Switch. When on it energisges a couple of relays and will drain the battery in no time. The driver side battery is only used with the 24v starter.
