How do I ask if another member recognizes a pic of my Genset? I have what I believe is a 15KW Diesel Genset with apparently low hours, but has not been run in many a year. I cannot find the ID plate since it was completly disassembled , prior owner was planning on sandblasting and painting and never got around to it. I would like to get the model number so I can get her back to work with TM's etc. Engine man. is Hercules and was built in 1968. Model number D198ER mil spec no. MIL-E-112766
This plate was found below the starter motor on the exhaust side of the engine:
SPEC: D198ERX31 Model: D198ERSerial#: 3212877 Date of MFG: 3/22/68
Bore: 3-3/4 Stroke: 4 - 1/2 Disp: 198 Cu. IN. 4 Cycle
Max Cont. Speed: 2000 Max. Net. Cont. BHP: 40
Maintain Oil Pressure: 20 Firing Order: 1-2-4-3
Tappet Clearance Exh: 015 Int: 015
