M1009 starter issues

I could use some ideas I replaced my starter and the same exact thing happened 2x my battery cables got real hot and melted themselves to the battery post and starter cooks, could a sticking starter relay do this?

We need more info. Is the system stock 24volt or converted to 12? Where did you get the starter? Is it 12 or 24? Why did you replace the starter? You said "the same thing happened again". Is your engine locked up?

It is a 24 volt system the engine is free runs fun the starter was rebuilt for 24volts I had it replaced when I replaced my fuel injection pump. Getting all the air out of the system destroyed the 1st starter since then I fried two starters and I noticed cables or really hot and arched to the point where they welded themselves to the battery post ,at this point only thing I can think of is replace my relay and big cable to starter everything is fine and functions as it should, oh one more thong it's always the secondary battery that receives arcing from the starter

Ok so I figured it all out my starter relay was faulty and my starter was getting stuck on the fly wheel it needed a shim and my terminals on my battery cables where crappy they where not allowing full voltage to travel to the starter so they began arcing causing my battery posts to melt the lead off and also my positive cable want very reassuring either I will also replace the ignition starter wire too cause it prob seen better days

Still having issues with my starter and battery cables and battery same as i stated above if any one knows any ideas please shot them my way

Did you replace the cables or just the ends ?

So far just the clamps and a new starter relay the one under the dash

I cranked it over it started fine then shut it off tried again and my clamps smoked and cables got stupid hot and starter just clicks it's making me mad lol I'm just going to start replacing all my starter and ignition wiring

I would replace the cables they could be corroded in the middle or damaged from the heat . Make sure the ground to the block is clean including the threads for the bolt . Have you measured the resistance of the cables ?
By the way your posts are hard to understand without making sentences and breaking up what your trying to say.

I'll try replacing the cables first, I did not how ever measure resistance, but I have spare cables I will just replace them! As for my broken sentences I'll try to complete them

It was joke Mr serious, you guys are to serious for me, I'm an older person with fun in my bones thought I'd join this site cause I had a common interest in military vehicles but there's plenty of other sites I can go to if I'm too much fun. Sorry if any one got upset y'all have fun with out me
