This show is being put together by the North Cascades Military Vehicle Collectors www.ncmvcc.org We are a loosely bound bunch of collectors in the Seattle-Everett area (no set boundaries, though) who get together and put on displays or participate in parades. This year, we are also going to have the Emergency Vehicle Collectors there with their fire engines and other rescue vehicles.

Here we go again with a new season. First event in the area, this year.
Jose, the owner of the Triple-X Rootbeer Drive-In in Issaquah has
classic car clubs do shows at his restaurant every single weekend from
spring to fall. We are unique in that we are the only military vehicle
show in the whole lineup for the year. This show is for all eras of
military vehicles of any kind. Whatever you have; bring it. In fact,
wear period-appropriate uniforms to match the vehicles if you like!
Everyone always has a ball at this show. We won't know the weather of
course, but I can tell you that even in a downpour, we have lots of fun.
Been there; done that. Please be in place by 0900 and plan to stay until
2pm. For safety reasons, we prefer not to be moving vehicles once the
show starts.

The website for the Triple-X restaurant is http://triplexrootbeer.com/
Take a look at how extensive this thing is. All that is required to
bring in your vehicle is a current proof of insurance card. This is
Jose's request and it's imperative that we honor that. We will be
checking for them before you enter the parking lot.

Food: Oh man...... Best burgers, anywhere! Come hungry. Check out their
menu on the website http://triplexrootbeer.com/

If you are planning bringing a vehicle to the show, I would like to know
about it if possible. That helps organize the show, but it's not
essential. If you need to just show up unannounced, that's ok, too.

If your vehicle isn't totally museum-quality, that's ok. Bring it
anyway. Works in progress are good, too. If your vehicle is more of a
stylized military machine, that's fine. This is a fun show, not a test
of minute details of historical accuracy.

Ladies and gentlemen, START YOUR ENGINES!

Hi,
No, your schmaat-fone is fine. Our website ran out of gas, like yesterday. We'll push it to the nearest gas station and get it juiced back up, shortly. Nice to meet a local. I'm in Duvall. What ride are you sporting?

Good to hear, look forward to meeting some local owners.

I Just picked up a bobbed deuce a couple weeks ago. Been eyeballing them for a long time and finally had the right opportunity. I grew up in carnation, went to high school in duvall.

Schweet! One of the guys in Issaquah has a bobbed deuce. Makes lots of sense. We can see the lights from the high school at night. We're out east.

Canada! Yeah! C'mon down! I have several MV friends in Vancouver.

Welcome, y'all! There is plenty of room for all of us. No problem, there. The place is huge. Bring the kids, too. There will be some classic fire engines there, too. We're talkin' photo-ops, here. :clinto:

Yeah, I ran those scenarios on the supercomputer here and one of them is going to involve a severe beating about the head and shoulders. Just sayin'......

Option 3, take the kids. Give her the morning off let her pick the kids up on the way to swim class.

Working on it.

Option 1: take the wife and kid and walk around for about 20 minutes, grab a burger and go home
Option 2: drive the deuce and spend the day relaxing and chewing the fat, while the wife stays home and tends to the kid

If Momma's not happy, nobody's going to be happy. A day at the spa (with one of her buddies), can buy you a lot of bliss, Brother. And you'll always want more Iron. So, Feed the Addiction, but horsetrade and avoid the Wrath of Kahn:

I can't believe some idiot would be so delerious with the green fever to buy a Bridge Truck on a whim like that. Guy must have rocks for brains.
It's not like he didn't have enough unfinished projects as it was.

The XXX Root beer MV show was great though. Heard that guy got a trophy for coming the furthest distance with his Unimog TLF-8 Fire Truck.
I mean it was only a 140 mile detour to a 400 mile roundtrip.

I'm sorry I'm going to miss this. I grew up in Issaquah, walking distance from the XXX. I miss it.

Now I'm on the other coast, and so, unable to attend.

Sorry you can't make it, Lino. A bit of a jaunt. Kurt: Most excellent! If we go in the man cave, do we have to wear skins and pound our chests and howl as each MV drives by? I assume so, but thought I should ask. :-0
