good question, it just said 300 amp on the package, i would think that is probably at 12v though.

back of package says it is ideal for farm, marine, and motorsport 12/24v

I used a lockable switch from Flaming River that is rated for 250 amps continuous and 2500 amps for 5 seconds. It was not cheap but I am confident it can handle anything my Deuce throws at it.

Here is a post showing how I installed mine:

Here is another thread with a lot of good information:

Had one fail at less than 100 amp and 28 volt. Voltage doesn't matter if you don't make or break under full load. Current is Current when made. THere are better switches.

Higher voltage will arc contacts if you try to break it under load. I am also using a relay rated for 400 amps at 12 volts AND breaking under the same load which failed the switch. No issues yet. This is for the 28 volt, 80 amp cabin air conditioning system in my 1028. The relay controls the compressor motor. It cycles a bunch.

You found me ;)

Yes, in my system using both disconnect switch and relay, the disconnect is the same as pictured (low quality) and the relay a very high quality Trombetta of domestic origin.
