Has anyone here installed a turn signal buzzer/beeper on their 939 series? If so do you know the wire number to tap in to? I bought a couple of 24 volt beepers on Ebay for around $5 and want to install them in series with the flashing bulb in the turn signal assembly. Before you say " Just get the bulb/beeper from TMG ", I did; and the bulb went out in less than a year.

I am by no means a wiring expert but 467A or 467B look promising. If the flasher is getting powered then the bulb should be blinking. The return wire from the flasher to the switch should cause the bulb on the switch to blink, in my mind at least.

I'm the dufus around here that always has his blinker on. I've considered adding a buzzer but it's way at the bottom of the to-do list. If I have time tomorrow I'll play around with it a bit, if nobody has a definitive answer yet.

Bingo Swamp! 467A works like a charm! I plan on installing a switch in line with the beeper so it can be turned off with the 4 way flashers during parades. Thanks again!

You can use a hmmwv self cancelling blinker the electrical connector is the same. There are holes in the back side of the steering wheel to put some screws so it cancels when you turn the wheel back straight.

Glad it worked out. This will simplify things for me when I get around to adding something too, now that the wiring is figured out.

I've pondered how I'll do mine the last couple days and had an idea. The only issue I have with the factory switch is that the lens doesn't let enough light through during the day and there isn't a better replacement lens to remedy the problem.

On the warning light bar above the steering column I still have the Engine Hot light, socket and wiring. I know some were completely removed but mine was just unplugged. Instead of using a buzzer I'm just going to replace the red lens with a clear green lens and wire it in to the 467A so it'll flash with the switch. Everything is already there so I'll just have to tap the original wire from the socket to the 467A. This will put the light in a more visible place and the clear green lens will let more light through.

I don't have a green lens at the moment but I've got every thing else to use a red lens for now. I just have to find the other end of the socket wire and tap it into 467A. Might even use a Packard Y connector to make it look factory

The self cancelling switch is nice but I'm going to try to use what I got to make something I'm happy with.

I finally got the external blinker light wired up today. I'm happy with it and will skip the buzzer now since it's clearly visible in the daytime, as seen in the video.

I used the "Engine Hot" light socket in the warning panel since it's no longer used and is at a better viewing angle to catch my attention while driving. It would also only require a little wiring since the rest of the things were already there. The socket was still there so I swapped in a clear green lens and a green LED.

Wire #35E comes out of the warning light harness and into the back of the socket on the warning panel. Instead of tampering with the harness I just terminated the harness end of the wire and ran a new wire down behind the dash to #467A on the blinker module harness. I tapped into #467A with my new wire and tested it out.

When I went all LED for my blinkers I also swapped the bulb in the blinker switch for an LED bulb. This caused the light in the switch to blink backwards of the exterior lights. This aggrevated me a bit but I couldn't change it. The new light actually blinks with the blinkers now so it took care of two issues. I took the bulb out of the switch and am just running the one on the warning panel. I'm very pleased with the results given how simple it was to change.
