Bingo Swamp! 467A works like a charm! I plan on installing a switch in line with the beeper so it can be turned off with the 4 way flashers during parades. Thanks again!
Glad it worked out. This will simplify things for me when I get around to adding something too, now that the wiring is figured out.
I've pondered how I'll do mine the last couple days and had an idea. The only issue I have with the factory switch is that the lens doesn't let enough light through during the day and there isn't a better replacement lens to remedy the problem.
On the warning light bar above the steering column I still have the Engine Hot light, socket and wiring. I know some were completely removed but mine was just unplugged. Instead of using a buzzer I'm just going to replace the red lens with a clear green lens and wire it in to the 467A so it'll flash with the switch. Everything is already there so I'll just have to tap the original wire from the socket to the 467A. This will put the light in a more visible place and the clear green lens will let more light through.
I don't have a green lens at the moment but I've got every thing else to use a red lens for now. I just have to find the other end of the socket wire and tap it into 467A. Might even use a Packard Y connector to make it look factory
The self cancelling switch is nice but I'm going to try to use what I got to make something I'm happy with.
