Hello to all!
I've had my 923A0 for about 3 years and it's behaved quite well.
About 2 weeks ago, the ABS check light stopped turning off after the brief illumination cycle ... but not every time.
I first noticed it after having parked overnight on a slight 4-degree downward hill. As I was only relocating the truck to a different part of the property, I wasn't overly concerned and figured I'd start troubleshooting the next day.
Fast forward to the next day, level ground, started it up and sure 'nuff, the light went off after the usual brief delay. I drove a few miles, parked on flat, and made a note to keep an eye the little bugger.
Two drive cycles later, no additional problem. And then it happened again.
I let the truck warm-up, did my walk around, let the air system charge, etc., light still illuminated. For grins-&-giggles I powered down - without moving it from current position - waited about 60-90 seconds, and started it up again ... light on, brief delay, light off. Drove around a bit, powered down ... and started hitting up SS.com and the TMs and try to figure out what's going on. ;-}
I found a bunch of great posts about others with ABS issues and am currently wading through them. I'm also reading TM 9-2320-272-23-2 and some of the other great docs on this site in anticipation of this weekend beginning my onsite troubleshooting.
In the meantime, I thought I'd post the description to see if anyone had also encountered something similar and/or to get another round of great advice and counsel, something like ... "you forgot to brim prong the mum fuzz on the dom knocker ... such a rookie mistake!!!"
TIA,
MAnders.
