I've been cleaning up the property so not much time to snap pictures (lots of mundane lifting). The fun thing to move is always the M1079 box (6500-8000 lbs range) and takes max boom lift to get above it when it was on the M871.

Your rig looks great, and that looks like a working property you got there.

What's the story on the elevated hopper in the background of the pic (rt-hand side), is that for seed or something?

Now that the wrecker is mobile again went ahead and picked up the other dump bed sub frame and part of another MV and loaded them onto my m103a2.

Then used the crane to unload a fuel tank from the back of a m923

The neighboring property is a cotton gin. It's been rebuilt over 3 generations so there's lot of old structures around.

Making radials fly again

Took a quick jaunt down to central CA to snag two Guiberson Radial Diesels that were in the M3 Stuarts and are going to support the motor going in the LVT...

Also assorted logging and property projects but no pictures there - she gets used about every other day

Enjoy

Matt

And a meeting of Cletracs just for Jim - I'm catch up buddy - that's 4 now - we need to chat about the crate motor you have and make a plan

Loaded up the spare tires/wheels onto the m103a2 trailer chassis (used the deck for a flatbed build on the pickup) along with some parts that were sold, then towed the trailer off to the new owners place. Loaded up their fuel tank onto the trailer once it was there.

How did the trailer track during the trip, did it get squirrelly on you at all?

Just moved a ticking time bomb out of my back yard.... had a 500gal propane tank filled and a few days later the relief valve malfunctioned and started blowing off. Gas company couldn't scavange the propane off of it so we were forced to move it off the hill to a location where they could get their truck to it... Funny how if its their tank they are johnny on the spot about pick up and reset, but when its your tank they take their dear sweet time....... meanwhile Im listening to $$$$ hiss away into the atmosphere.

And THAT children is why every household needs an MW wrecker in their motor pool.

When convincing my wife to let me buy the wrecker some years ago,. I never guessed I would be using it to haul her home. She hit a cattle guard a bit to fast and a faulty lower ball joint let go,. Tore the upper out and pulled the CV shaft apart,. Ouch.

Yes the little sling has been installed for some time now,. The big one is still laying in the bed,. Need to mod the bars for an extended position as the tail sits so high that the little bar comes dangerously close to letting the vehicle get hit by wrecker or hook when getting hooked up,. Also hook is so far out that it likes to put alot ofbackward force on towed vehicle front endIMG_20170927_082618724.jpgIMG_20170927_082629388_HDR.jpg

I just finished up this little project(only took a couple years to get around to it).

I beleive it was off a Holmes 850 wrecker unit.

Should be handy at times.

It should not be too difficult to stow. Just 2 bolts and it's off.

I've never used the fifth wheel on the M819. I have an M818 that I use for that.

I actually want to remove the plate and mount a 40000 lb rear winch on it(I have one).
