I started widening my wheels today/tonight/this morning......
Pics up! I started widening my wheels today/tonight/this morning...... I bought some 52" michelin XL's from the classifieds, realized that stock rims are not the way to go. I decided to follow Cidrich's plans and widen my stock rims. I am using one riveted rim and one welded rim. Blow holes...www.steelsoldiers.comWorkin on my widened rims
Been workin like crazy every day after work and the whole weekend and lovin every minute of it. Im so excited to see these big tires go on. As suggested, here's a new thread about flipping the center-section in riveted wheels. I'm only figuring it out as I go, so I'm not intending to make this any kind of 'how-to' post. But I know that others have done this, and I'm hoping that they'll post-up with tips, pictures, and any other...www.steelsoldiers.comRecentered PLS Trailer wheels for the deuce
I won a lot of G20's on PLS trailer wheels and decided to recenter them for the deuce. It works great, but I don't really need them as I just bought new 395's that I'll mount on my A3 wheels. Member montaillou did some recent research on custom rims. You may want to tap into his knowledge as well.
There is a place in Florida that will make any wheel you want
I have researched wheels extensively. What are you trying to accomplish? I should note, my research was for wheels made by commercial manufacturers. I'll be blunt and say home made wheels are something you do for enemies.I searched and didn't find anything. Any posts on cutting/making own custom wheel? Yes, Do not try this at home. I understand the safety precautions.
thanks,

If you're talking about commercially available wheels, your biggest issue is our bolt pattern. Your choices are to stick with military wheels or find a blank wheel and have it drilled. You could also swap out the hub, but I can't see that ending well for your wallet.

Official Deuce Aftermarket Wheel Thread
Let's make this happen. Hopefully it will remain a tech article for everyone to reference. After hours of searching for different styles and kinds of aftermarket wheels, I am still somewhat empty handed. If you have aftermarket wheels or make aftermarket wheels for a deuce: 1.
