8420d24 south wind heater 20k btu installation feed pressure?

So I got a 20k btu flame heater (I think it's off a m123) and control box for a song and dance, I was just wondering if it can be fed straight from the intank pump on the deuce or if higher pressure is needed?

It's possible, but with the heater under constant fuel pressure; your heater could flood with fuel. 1991, Doha, Kuwait; the fire that wiped out 11 ACR's motorpool was started by a heater flooded and started the fire. It didn't help the heater was in an ammo carrier, stuffed back behind the ammo racks.

For safety sake, use a separate fuel pump that can be off when the heater isn't being used.

Fair enough, as far as pressure any low pressure fuel pump good enough?
