Those definitely could have been designed better. Seems the pretty commonly crack right in the middle.

I doubt that. Perhaps some fiberglass ones could be molded using a pair that hasn't cracked yet. I have a friend here that builds hard tops for boats. I'll ask him about it. Mine is cracking on one side too.

Yes, but I have an idea.
Getting them from the factory?
If I can use the new fenders to create a build file for a 3D printer, maybe I can come up with a cheaper alternative to OEM.
Need to do some homework. I think the size is an issue, might figure out a way to print a fender in two or more sections at a time.

Might be easier to take a fender to a aluminum or sheetmetal workshop and made up instead of whatever the hell the current ones are made of

And make it strong enough to accidently stand on like the old 5 tons
People always want to grab mine when climbing under the hood and it infuriates me knowing it’s nearly unobtanium or insanely overpriced

Yes Sir. Popular for things like the outrigger pads or the remote controls for the M-1089. Every now and again something falls out of the pipeline, but the vendor that manufacturer used to build the cranes mostly ignore us.
Definitely a good term though!
