I doubt it if you left them poly. If you replaced the poly with steel, I think you'd be ok.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Yeah screw bill. Lol i gotta know the back story here. How about using the roller from a five ton winch. Same frame dimensions. Might even bolt on to the bottom of the winch. Damage to the bumper can be avoided by not realing the cable all the way in and getting it tangled aroung the bumper. Always use two people duting the winch operation. and don't try using the front control, but use the inside controls and a good signal man. Don't use a guy neamed Bill Peasley either
Yes, depending on how stuck you are. One might only need a few hundred pounds of pull. There is more to it than just a winch.
You also need a good snatch block, several heavy chains, and pulling girdles.
Proper rigging before a pull other than straight out needs all those items.
A healthy amount of common sense, and a good understanding of geometry helps.
If nothing else, get a copy of the TM regarding vehicle recovery.

Hey Aussie Bloke, nice to see you still around.G'day everyone,....
If you've ever done an accredited 4x4 drivers course it will have included winch operation.
You will then have an appreciation of how not to get stuck and if you do, how to extract yourself safely.
You can then operate your Deuces winch safely and not damage anything else while your at it.
Aussie.
