Anyone in AZ have any M36a2 driveshafts?

I need the 62" driveshaft that goes from the transfer case to the carrier bearing towards the rear and a stock front driveshaft for a M35. Anyone nearby have anything?

Jack's in Tuscon might have something for you.

Side thought: drivelines are a very simple thing and are built from scratch regularly in driveline shops. All that is needed to recreate yours are simple measurements and what u-joint is on either end...they don't even need the truck there to do it!

I may have a deuce driveshaft. Not sure just what one it is, but if it is for an M35, you can have it for shipping.

I'm trying to organize a trip down thee next week if all goes well. I have a bunch of parts I'd rather give him than scrap or keep dealing with anyway.

I wish I had a good driveshaft shop but I've had no luck there in the last few years. The shop I thought was awesome wanted to charge me over $1100 to shorten one shaft and lengthen another because he zoned out when I dropped them off. so I'll have to find stock ones or build my own. Won't be the first time. I definitely appreciate the advice though. Around here, taking anything to a shop means a 4-6month wait for bill in the thousands, usually for inferior work.

That would be awesome and very much appreciated. . Shipping heavy big stuff seems to have gone crazy lately, and I'd rather give you some money directly if that's a possibility. If all goes well I'll be headed to Yuma, then Tucson next week and could pick it up then if that will work. I'll have a bunch of LDT/LDS engine parts with me that you're welcome to if you need anything.

I don't have any connection to it other than knowing it's there, but there's an old Mack cab/chassis sitting at Pete's Diesel Services here in Cottonwood. He's tried to sell it to me the last few times I talked to him. I'm not sure if he's willing to part it out, but if there's anything in particular you're looking for, I'd be happy to go check with him. I'd love to have the cab, for a project I have no time or money for.

T Case to Pillow bearing shaft is the only 'non standard' part. From the pillow block to the rear is a standard deuce drive shaft (simplified logistics by sticking to the standard length for that one).

I appreciate the advice. I thought that was the case but saw some conflicting info. I had a notebook with all of the before/after dimensions but the shop troll got it.

I think the one I'm looking for is 62" long, but I'm building motor/trans mounts, swapping a 6bt in, and using a fuller six speed, so I can pretty much make anything close work. I'll probably just modify one of the medium duty shafts I have and redneck balance it if I can't find a stock one.

Thanks a bunch for posting that. (Edit: expressing genuine gratitude here. :) upon re-reading I see how it could come off snarky, which was not my intent at all)

I'm more confused now because the shaft I pulled out was definitely longer than that. I guess I better go measure my wheelbase and make sure it's normal. It would not surprise me if this frankenstein truck isn't stock. Seems like a fella with a surplus junkyard and an imagination pieced it together.

I found the strange one in a big pile of parts that were destined for the scrap yard! I thought it had gone to the shop with the other ones but I lucked out and saved myself with my own pain blinded stupidity. Now all I need is a front shaft and the one that goes from the transfer case to the rear axle for a normal M35a2. Anyone out there have anything? I found a front on ebay, but it looks pretty tough for the price and the seller has some iffy reviews. Folks selling new kits with no tubing too, but I'd rather have old American iron.
