So we bought a house 153 miles south of us down by Duncan, Oklahoma. I made the trip to take the loaded down deuce to the new house and it drove great. I do think the generator is going though. If I recall correctly they can be rebuilt, but it’s been more than 12 years since I was in an active motor pool. So I think I may rebuild it this winter. Video later.

So this is what I did with my son today on the Deuce.

1. a cigarette lighter adapter wired to the accessory switch.

2. driver side and passenger side rifle racks.

3. 24V solar trickle charger. Works amazingly well for a $30 solar panel.

Boyce-Equipment & Eastern Surplus both have the correct front winches, I found mine on E-Bay several years back, so you can also go that route. I like dealing with Boyce they're in Utah, a State over from Nevada. They're good folks & know the M35 trucks inside and out. My wife got beat up sitting in the standard passenger seat, so I installed a driver's seat, and she is happy. [thumbzup]

I like the old style bench seat on the passenger side since my wife doesn’t ride all the time ibliwkt he flat surface when I fold it down.
I’m going to have to put a pin in the winch until I nail down this alternator/generator thing. The PO must have put a hmmwv one on it.
Also I figured out that i had a parasitic drain from the light switch. I got that fixed and now I’m not having dead batteries in the morning which is a good thing. Not crazy about that 60 amp alternator though.

Take it a step at a time, follow the TMs and it'll come together. Love the LMTV bed, looks like it was made for the M35, very nice.
Thanks man. I appreciate that. Lately I've been kind of wishing i could change it out for a standard one though. Just to have the original bed.

If you go with an original bed (drop side/standard) most of the beds have some damage and rust. My truck came from Fort Irwin in So. Cal. and had very little rust but had some damage that I was able to straighten out. Looked at some good parts trucks in the Southwest. You should be able to find a good bed in your neck of the woods.
