Hello Everyone,
I finally received my MTVR after like 4 months of waiting, it was sold as a non runner, but new batteries and a little tinkering we started it and drove it off the trailer.
I took it for a little drive about 15 miles or so, it ran great. However after inspecting the truck I noticed the center hub bolt was sticking out. Actually was only still on by a few turns. I tried to tighten it by hand real quick, and it only went in 3 more turns before stopping. The larger set of threads towards the Allen head also look stripped.
I'm not familiar with planetaries or these types of hubs in general. My question is what exactly is this bolt doing, what might cause it to walk out just in normal driving? Should I just grab my allen wrenches and put some more leverage on trying to tighten it? I'd rather not cause any more damage because I tried to muscle it back in place.
