Guys, you see? I am not alone, in fact, here in LA when going out grocery shopping, daytime, you can take it easy and only bring the 5/8” glass, but if you go at night for drinks/ dinner then you gotta bring out the fully armored one with 3 inches of glass…it’s just common sense around here 😆

I have two LH side ballistic windshield pieces if you want to trade. If not, I would like to use one for the right side, but understand the interior surface will not hold up to the elements (wiper blade, etc). Is there a surface covering, treatment or something that would make it exterior-useable? Or is delaminating the only option?

A giant sheet of thin gorilla Glass! I have no idea if that's available but the people that make those cell phone covers probably buy the stuff in big sheets

Can't seem to find Gorilla glass that big.... plus, if it's anything like the stuff on my iPhone, it cracks. But i wonder if something like this would work - just to cover up the interior side, for exterior use?

Yes removing the polycarbonate layer could be an option but that's what contains any spalling to enter the passenger cabin and without it the glass would fly allover the place inside in case of an impact.
I responded to your message.

EDIT: Fixed double post
