" You know you could use the brake master cylinders used in the M105 trailers. "

Does anyone have a casting or part number for the master cylinder for the M105?
It would be handy to know the bore and effective stroke for sizing the Masters for the split system.

Thanks in advance.

** edit**

FD1051
FE1051

Bore Size: 1.0625″
Line Thread Size: 1/2″-20 @ Back
Repair Kit: 100MK

M105060

Now we just need the stroke info.

The super secret "history eraser" switch is a ground lift night switch. It lives on the firewall side behind the passenger side battery.
First time I'd seen a switch in that spot. Does that look like an after market thingy and what in this world of MV lingo is a ground lift night switch?

Well Happy New Year everyone! This is the last service of 2024.:naner:
I went out and pulled a couple of plugs, #3 looks good, carbon black and installed with anti sieze👍 next was #1 ground strap a little red, but without pulling the cap or valve cover its tough to know where it is in the firing order.
I had to order a new endoscope as the new S24 phone has usb C, unfortunately it wont show up till im back at work.
I had to make the most of my pocket wrench to get the plug wires loose, my tools are still mostly buried in the sea cans. So thats all i could get to today until i get back home with my truck and a 3/4 wrench. I shot some movit down the #1 and 3 holes.

Have a safe and happy New Year!

Next steps. Pulled the rest of the remaining plugs today. Lots of carbon black but no nasty rust blob. Of course #6 was the one installed without antisieze. Shot some movit down the holes. Dabbed some coppershot on #6 and buttoned it up. If it stops raining before the 6th ill pop the valve cover and see what the state of the top end is. Theres a riveted pos in the center of the hood. It leaks and drips almost directly on the forward valve cover stud so im reluctant to open it before i have some time to button it up properly.

Update: I'm on the mainland working 9 days a week again but i was able to slide over to ICBC head office and submit my paperwork.
The wife reports that the search results have arrived at the homestead and all that is left are the final steps and it'll be registered. (y)

Well. I have unfortunate news for everyone in bc that is in the vintage vehicle hobby, military or not.
After wasting 3 hours of my life with ICBC it turns out our rainbow licking unicorn sucking tree humping politicians have ammended the motor vehicle act. Section 25.1 now states that any previously unregistered vehicle now has to PASS a vehicle inspection before it can be registered.
This effectively removes half the legal ownership process until AFTER a person has invested untold thousands of dollars with no guarantee that they wont amend the act further to prevent a person from registering their vehicle by continually moving the goal posts before they can get the repair work done.

So..all these craigslist posts of no glass, motor, transmission, floors, trunk and registration for 7 grand are now pretty much worthless. This also goes for importing vehicles for restoration from the United States and out of province.

They have also created a legal double standard in that i can go, pull a totally rotten pos out of farmer Jim's field, and if he still has the regi's i can instantly register and insure it. But if it is previously un registered in bc youre screwed unless you have 30k to throw at it the next day.

I cant see any legitimate legal reason for not allowing a vehicle to be registered regardless of inspection. especially our heavy trucks that require an inspection anyway to be insured due to the GVW being over the 5000KG limit.
All this does is kill the restoration hobby and businesses.

Total dirtbag move.

Well that truly sucks ! Now I know why Lyle up there at "100 Mile House" was so pissed off last week when I talked with him. So what will happen to people like me who want to get an old truck and bring it down here to the States ? Are they going to be stopping me from bringing it across the boarder ?

Going south probably wont be a problem as it'll be US reg's. The problem may arise in the exporting it from canada part. If you dont have registration the border patrol services may not know (or care) how to tax it. Will a bill of sale be sufficient legally to support your claim of ownership? I dont know. If there is no registration number then it may not be able to be exported/imported as a motor vehicle, in this case it would be exported/imported as scrap, with it's own set of regulations probably having to be free of hazmat, oil, fuel, asbestos, lead etc. There is also probably going to be hurdle in titling a vehicle that was imported as scrap at a different tax rate perhaps. I'm not familliar with the US regs in that regard.
They have opened a huge can of worms.

OK, this is really pissing me off now ! I was set to go up and pick-up a truck from Lyle after visiting Dave (plowboy) in Edmonton.
If Lyle still has the registration will it still work ? Of course I believe he said it was lost.
