Nothing you can replace.. all you have to do is take off the top cover and use a 5/16 Allen wrench 1/6 of a turn. And if it falling on its face... looks like a failing pump and not a fuel problem. You may get a little more life out of her by bumping the fuel... but you will end up right back at where you are now.

I would say you still have some time with the pump.. it still starting and running. Turning up the fuel will help a bit but it will go south some day. I have seen pumps last a long time that run poor but still run. But I would get a new pump in the works so if it does go out your not stuck.

Is that all? Because the Banks turbo manual talks about removing a spring and only doing it when it is cold

Page 14 of http://assets.bankspower.com/manuals/429/96291-v2-web.pdf

NOTE: The engine must be COLD before starting this
procedure.

...

Observe the position of the metering valve spring
4. over the top of the guide stud. This position must be
duplicated exactly during the reassembly. See Figure 18.
Remove the Allen-head guide stud and sealing washer
5. from the rear (outside) of the pump bowl. While
rocking the throttle lever toward the rear of the engine, lift
out the governor spring assembly. Do not bend any springs or
linkages.

etc..

There is more than one way to turn the DB2's fuel rate. But going through the window on the drivers side of the pump is the easiest. IMHO. And yes do it when the engine is cold. Otherwise your fingers will not be happy. Just remove the cover on the drivers side of the pump. It looks like home plate at a baseball field. The adjustment screw is behind there. You may have to bump the engine over to line the screw up with the hole. This way there is no messing with springs levers ETC.....DON'T GO MORE THAN a 1/8 turn without a pryo and or a turbo . The EGT'S will skyrocket if you do!!

Ken, facing the drivers side of the engine, what direction do you turn the screw to increase the fuel rate? Clockwise?

It doesn't exist. Ignore that info... you have to pull the top off the pump and then pull the spring and rod out and line up the allen head.

Well, I turned my fuel up going through the nonexistent hole in the side of the pump, I think it was a 1/4 inch wrench I used to remove the plug/cover so I could access the allen, and then turned it clockwise. This was on an 86 M1008

Not saying it was easy, kid of a PITA, I just didn't want to mess with the top cover and all the stuff underneath. . . :p
