yep she actually loves Hummers

g-force...
she wont let me park on the lawn. My neighborhood is all doctors and stuff because there is a hospital a few blocks away. So she is worried about what they will think. Personally I would rather see a Deuce than a POS chinese car anyday.

ChrisW72971: my earler joking aside.....:smile::smile::smile:

Sounds like Wrench Wench has the right idea on getting her involved in using a Deuce and seeing how it can be used by both of you. I'm sure she would enjoy riding in it more than the box truck!

Perhaps a local SS member might be able to drive by one day in a Deuce and park in your driveway, so you can see how it will fit and look. Once she sees it in person, she might understand it's no worse than the box truck. Actually it looks like to me it would be better since the height might be lower. Plus if you get a green Deuce, I think it would blend in more - anything white (or a bright color) tends to get your attention more than a darker color (like OD). So I'll say an OD Deuce would be "less visable" than a large white box truck.

Anyway, just my thoughts...good luck!!

Wrench Wench thats the most romantic MV related thing I have ever heard. I tired that with the girl, we picked up a couch from the side of the road at the local trailer park, got a bucket of KFC and some Budwieser. Went out into the swamp, and ate then burned the couch. ahh the memories. Oh dont forget the seranade of Hank Williams Jr.

Also whats wrong with Parking in the yard theres plenty of it there, and the Duece wont mind at all, it will even be easier to park there.

I think that Wrench Wench has an EXCELLENT idea......and the following day after your romantic interlude you can take your deuce and bury it up to the axle hubs in mud. Then just turn to her and in your most caring, "honey I love you" tone of voice say to her "Honey, go wrap the winch cable around that tree".
Alll kidding aside, if she has a problem with it then maybe you should see if you can find some place to park it like a storage place or gas station. If its going to cause problems at home or with your neighbors it would take all the fun out of having it. And who knows, maybe after a while she'll lgrowto like it and let you bring it home.
Oh yeah, the idea of parking on the lswn, I hsppen to live in a condo in an end unit with a lawn right next to the building that backs up to a wooded lot. I just wanted to see if you did it if it would blend in and not be noticed. This way I would know if the3 camo paint job would work here under similar circumstances. The only problem I have is that my unit is the first one you see when you turn off the main road. Just don't want to PO the Femo-Nazis that live here.......I don't need that...........
Good luck and let us know how you make out.......
PS if you have kids you're golden because all kids love trucks especially MV ones so they will definitely be on your side. If you don't have any I'm sure someone on here would gladly donate theirs........Especially if they're in their teens........:-D

I do not think you will have any problems fitting the deuce in the drive way. The Ford E350 is 217" long or 237" long (extended version) and 97" wide including the mirrors. That is right in the same range as a deuce w/o winch is 264" long. I would make sure that it will fit though as some areas are very strict on blocking a sidewalk.

and Wrench Wench.... I was only kidding you actually have a great idea:wink:
Gator
thanks I couldn't find the length of the box truck. Actually add a foot to that because it had an electric lift gate on the back.
The guy I wanna buy the Deuce from has a bunch of them and has one on the road and he said I could come back and try one on road. Maybe I will see how it fits in the driveway.

lol you reminded me of a little story my uncle told me...
He builds houses and he was discussing garage door height with the customers "two older people in their late 50's". Thats when the wife said "we aren't exactly trying to get a Hummer in the garage". The husband looked at her and said "speak for yourself". :p
