Ok, a year ago I wanted to deliver dominoes pizza in a CUCV, since then I defected to papa johns, have had both a gasoline 84 K5, and a gasoline 75 C20, and now I am ready to get a cucv, and there is nothing you can do to stop me!
I have been delivering in my 75 C20 for the last few months, and it isnt bad. The turning radius sucks, and parking in apartment complexes requires.... Skill. Now that we are coming into the winter, I have my Jeep, but I have been offroading it every week, and worry that I will break it, then 5 mins later the heavens will open and dump a billion inches of snow on my home town, and my boss will cry if all I can say is, "I broke the jeep"
I plan on buying a M1008 or M1028 A1, (Dont want the duelly) and towing it back home with my C20, then selling the C20 shortly after. The plan after that? Get the CUCV road ready and licensed, then drive it everywhere for two weeks except for work, that way I am sure it is dependable. Next step is buy a steering wheel club, and plan on leaving it running *pretty much* the entire evening. I still think I will get more delivery's per dollar than I have been in my current truck.
Next step, get set up to run Bio-diesel or Vegi oil, and cut costs down to almost nothing, and show them prius ****ers how to go green correctly!
Im excited, this is going to be great. Im prolly going to bid on this current lot that is on GL now, the ones on Fort Meade. I have two questions!
1: Will there be any one doing a visual inspection of any of these? If so, please post up your observations of these trucks while your there, or pm just me.
2: If I win one of these trucks, what is the approximate time line till it will be ready to be picked up, and what is the maximum amount of time I can wait to go pick it up? I want to build a bit of a plan.
Everyone high-five me for finaly bidding on one these awesome sauce trucks!
