bumper unit marking question

After some light sanding I discovered the following on the passenger side of the front bumper:

FRC 49 STR (or STB). The corresponding vehicle markings on the left are gone.

According to CARNAC, my truck saw service in the
W1E0
B CO S BN 1ST SPWAR T GRP Location:FT BRAGG

SPWAR is special warfare. What is the rest? What is FRC 49?

Try googling the info carnac gave you along with the bumper info. I did that on mine and found more specifics. Good luck with it.

Al, I have to demolish the kitchen over the weekend and prep for floor heat and tiling.

You can, however, stop by and do the axle seals on my truck in the meantime! I need to keep an eye on my priorities....happy wife, happy life

As soon as the work on my truck is done and I have it inspected and plated, I'll stop by! May be a couple of weeks.

I am still trying to figure out what the markings mean that are on my bumper.
