Right, I did in fact install a thermocouple probe in the intake manifold near the #6 cylinder as far away as possible from the turbo compressor discharge. IIRC, with a boost of about 10 psi, the temp at the compressor was about 225°F and it dropped to about 210 degrees after passing through the water cooled intake manifold, which in effect, works as an intercooler, although designed to help warm the air at arctic temps.I think Craintruck did a big test on this a while back. See the thing is the intake is surrounded by coolant jackets.. kinda like its own intercooler if you will. I don't know how much that extra cooler will work. If the air is cooler then the intake, the coolant will just heat it up to "factory" opperating temp. If I remember correctly the factory set up works really well on regulating the air intake temp. I dont want to say all that work is in vane, but......
