Long weekend multifuel swap

I traded labor and a snow plow for a good deal on an LDT-465-1C engine and radiator and swapped it for my 400 Reo this weekend. The multi is a MUCH tighter fit than the gas engine. Operating in the same RPM range, pretty close to the 400 gas. Hoping to increase it a bit with more fuel and maybe the LDS-427 turbo. Whistling turbo aside, engine/ drivetrain noise seems very similar. Part of that may be due to a noisy tranny begind the gas engine. Still have a lot of plumbing and electrical to finish out.

The multi's hood side covers don't fit right. They need to fit further forward than they do; anybody who has done this swap have any ideas?

Did you change the grill? They are different. Want to get rid of the gasser radiator?

Why do you get rid of the REO?
Several things led to this but basically I wanted to try something different and I got a line on everything to do the swap (engine/ tranny/ radiator, and all the bits and pieces) for a price that I could justify.

The 400 Reo worked flawlessly and will give new life to a Farmall F20.

I changed the grill to a multi variant. It seems like the hinges are slightly further aft on the gas truck. I'd hate to start modifying things if there is something obvious that I am missing.

I plan to keep the radiator to use with the farm tractor repower. It is a strange version with the upper support tied to the tank and not the frame of the radiator.

What is this Reo 400 you mention? Is this some kind of bigger inline 6 than the usual Gold Comet 331?
