Ok it looks like I finally got a m920 on todays Pineville LA gl sale. Im thinking that I will fly in when my euc clears and Im wondering if there is anybody local who could drive me out to the base. I thought I could bring a few tools with me on the plane but will probably need to bring a couple batteries. Some of the trucks were marked "vehicle runs" but mine wasnt marked such so Im assuming that the batteries are dead. Im figuring on driving the truck home to Nebraska.

I don't think I can help either of you recover or check anything, but when you do recover PM me and I'll give you my phone number. I'm close enough to help if you have any emergencies.

don't hate me feel sorry for me, 2200 miles at 60 mph and 3.5 mpg. I was surprised to say the least that I won it and now I am terrified to break the news to the boss... she's gonna be mad. Oh well a little stress is healthy for a relationship from time to time.

A good running M920 should be able to get close to 6 mpg empty. Air the tires up, spike the fuel with some diesel conditioner and see if a local shop can service the transmission before you take off on your epic drive.

I have never seen one, the 919's that are in Cali are outrageous so its much cheaper and better selection to dip into your neck of the woods. I missed a couple in north dakota a few months back but again, the prices over here are significantly higher.

You guys will not be disappointed. These engineer trucks are fresh out of service and should be mission capable.

I hope you are right, I am really excited. 6 months ago these trucks were untouchable at this price and now I can finally afford one.

Hey man I am going to tag onto your thread, I bought one from there today too, a tan one, I live in WA state we can convoy back if we can coordinate that well. I would like to have someone near by look at my truck to see if its a runner or not.2320 - Trucks & Truck Tractors, Wheeled at Government Liquidation

Did you notice that your and my trucks were two of the ten trucks on that sale that had newer motors. They look the same as my 915a1(big cam 3, I think) I had those 10 trucks on my list and was hoping to get one of them. The differences I noticed were the ribbed lower half of intercooler and the air compressor intake plumbed into the manifold instead of the aircleaner pipe. The trucks look like nice ones. I was just hoping to get the air ride 915a1 in TX but it went too high for me.

possible help from Houston

As I posted over on the "who got what" thread...

If anybody from Houston did get one, I'm available to help with the recovery (and live vicariously through you:grin:)."

If you want to fly into Houston, and I can take the day off (with a few exceptions, I can) I'd be willing to drive you over (in my Expedition or maybe the Deuce) to Pineville and help with the recovery.
