Any updates?? I was hoping to find out the museum costs and best route into the place for a deuce so I dont have to cross to much traffic. Who do I need to see when I get there about parking/camping spot. I plan on getting there sometime around lunch on the Friday. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!:jumpin:

Airmech3839,
Google the musem. The event is directly across the street. There is no problem access for a deuce, unless you intend on pulling a long low trailer. IF that is the case let me know you cannot come through town with the trailer due to the rail crossing.

I understand that camping will be whereever the truck gets parked. There is plenty of space. Whenyou enter across from the musem you will not be able to not see where you need to go for landing locations.

Several of us in not a lot of us will already be there. The plant will hve been tried and tested, and most likely altered by then.

Looking forward to meeting you.

I eating dinner at Trackside in Kennesaw right now. I will post some pictures of the lot.

FYI there is a train crossing that could cause a long truck or trailer to bottom out.

FYI: just a guy taking photo's i have no idea exactly what the setup is going to be. GA MVPA is hosting.

I saw this sign in the Trackside Parking Lot. Thought it was funny to post since i driving my deuce there.

The Tunnel in the first couple of photos allows foot traffic from downtown into the event area.

Oh yeah there outlets in some spots for power. CARNC i would reccomend parking in one of these spots since your camping. If you need help seting up I am only 5 minutes away.

Edit: Oops sorry Carnc poor wording on my part. Let me change my wording.

LOL, I might have a weee bit of trouble fitting my deuce and trailer through that tunnel.

I should be there on Thursday. I just need someone to mark an X where they want me.

I'll be rolling in heavy but doubt I'll have trouble with the tracks.

Is the hint about the power meaning I need to have lights cause everyone will keep me busy for about 72 hrs straight (LOL).

I don't know for sure but I don't think so. Judging from the google maps view of the area, there are probably plenty of local places within a mile or two to eat at. Capt. Marion might know.

Is there a charge to set up and sell stuff for sat. ??
I doubt it-it's been a few years since the Ga MVPA charged for spots-I think there are trying to grow their events.

Anyone gonna be heading thru Augusta on the Friday around lunch that wants to convoy?
I am driving the deuce to work on Thursday and leaving early. I am going to stake out a sweet spot and then come back on Friday and Saturday.

How are you staking out a sweet spot and then going home? You have to stay all night and help unload (LOL). I only have a deuce load. The 1061 is not coming so I guess it will only take 20 hours instead of 24.

No, I will leave the deuce and trailer there on Thursday and ride home with my Dad or clintogf, one of them will meet me there. Then Friday I'll drive my car out there. Little extra fuel but I don't want to get a room Fri & Sat and it isn't far from our house (about 50 miles). Saturday I will drive the deuce home.

This also saves me from having to take our tents and displays down 3 times.

I never use I-20-it's too far South from me.

My route: Tucker, GA to Statham, GA - Google Maps

Who all will be camping out on Friday night with thier rig? I had thought about driving over with one of my deuces and would have to camp overnight. But I am just curious how many others might do the same and dont want to duplicate bringing too many things nor do I want to be all alone.
