Weighed my bobbed Deuce this morning.......

I realize this post is useless without pics and as soon as I can can get some 10 year old in my neighborhood to teach this old dog how to post pics on this site, I will.
IN THE MEANTIME, the trailer I used was an M101a3/M116a2 or a3 -can't remember which, but it is a standard M101 [ 8' x5'6"] bed that has the wheelwells [fenders] located 5"inside the bed and 9" outside the bed which makes outside of fender to outside of fender 84" which exactly matches front fender dimensions on the deuce. Normal M101 trailers have about 12" inside bed and 2" ouside which would not work as justpaintballs noted. No modifications were necessary at all and no spacers were required between frame and bed other than the oak strips. I have not seen another trailer like this anywhere, but understand it was built for Hummers and matches their track width.
I was trying to keep my bobber as short as possible because I keep it garaged to keep HAGERTY insurance happy and keep low low low insurance rates. The 101 bed is a foot shorter than the M105.
The bed width also closely matches the cab width of the deuce.

I like the sleeker look of the m101 bed.
Of course it doesn't hurt that you don't have to change the rear driveshaft length from stock.

Note the wheel well sticks out more on the A3 to cover the tire. This would be a better bed to use than the M-101, A1, A2.

Looks like a different M101 than what he's talking about earlier. I'll see if I can find a picture of the A3 bed.
Your right, I used a 101A1 bed.
It lacks the fender extensions, but it also doesn't have all the extra supports like the A2 and A3 beds have. Thus, giving it a sleeker look.
I figured it would be easier to add the fender extensions on the A1 bed. And still have a smooth looking bed. Plus, I could make the extensions any size I want to cover the tires correctly.

His super light weight is mostly due to stock wheels/tires. For some reason I kinda like bobbers on 9.00 or 11.00's. My bobber --with 1400x20's-- weighs 10700 (hardtop).

Hardtop, all that awesome suspension bracketry you made, the massive tires and wheels, the top and bows are a few things that take the weight total up.
BUT....it all adds up to, in my humble opinion, the biggest, meanest, most dimensionally-correct monster bobber!

I dont know if you both made build threads but I'm going to go searching for them because I want my future deuce to look just like one of yours. Hats off to you both for awesome looking bobs!

The swap meet was held in Springerville, Missouri. I am trying hard to find the man who sold this deuce at the meet or afterwards. I have been looking for something just like it. As you are in Missouri also and obviously love the same kind of truck, do you happen to know who the seller is? Wish we could talk on the phone, but when I've left my cell phone number and email address, it has always been redacted by the moderator. Please le me know if you've seen this truck and if you know how I could reach the guy who was selling it. I understand he sold it and sold another one too.
