I WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL FOR ANY INPUT I DID SOME SEARCHING AND DIDNT FIND TO MUCH
Hey yall Merry Christmas to all Of the Steel Soldier forum family.I have been driving the 85 Cucv for almost 2 weeks no problem than this past sunday i got in to crank it it turned over but didnt catch so i turned off went and tried again after the wait light went out Nothing i had this problem before so i went and tapped on the starter and no sooner than i get out from under the truck the Starter started running with out the key so i thought i got to the 24 volt relay and pulled it and took the ground cable off however in that process a fusible link on the 24volt block fried on the firewall and the starter solnoid was so hot i burnt my finger. How ever the solnoid on the starter was replaced not to long ago on a new high torque starter.
#1 new starter relay from Auto zone could this have cause this issue no problem with it before this past sunday
#2 was wondering what guage fusible link on the fire wall was its one of the smaller wires out of the 4
#3 would a faulty igntion key switch in the column cause an issue such as this
#4 I WILL BE DOING THE DOG HEAD RELAY CONVERSION AFTER THIS
