How to have a little bit more powa with IP?

After searching on the forum, i haven't found a response to have just a little more power by screwing the IP.
Deuce is new for me, but with my 10 years of oldies restauration I'm able to do it.
I've seen two screw at the top of the pump:eek:ne is as a "seal", and another just down this one.Is the sealed one the one i have to screw??To get more fuel?
Someone told me to screw the one under the gas pedal too.Is it very efficient?
Sorry for these basic questions, but i haven't receive all the TM (thanks a lot for your spend, very cool!!) and no chapter about it.
My goal is not to have a lot of powa, but just to have a bit more, cause i live in mountains and the deuce is a little bit slow with the shop van...
Another thing, my deuce doesn't smoke!!!Practically all of deuce who works good smoke a little bmack, not mine!!!So i gather that mine doesn't have enough fuel in the IP.No?

So i've already a pyro installed on the deuce.Only by caution from the previous owner,but he had not touche the IP.
In other threads i've seen about the screw i have to touch.Somebody told to be very careful.So i've to turn it by quarter turn i guess?
But if i touch it, engine idle must be adjusting screw idle , no?

The screw does not effect the idle.
Don't be afraid to turn it up more than 1/4 turn, just make sure you do a through test. Through test is 1st gear, low range, HEAVY on brake and 2200RPM with heat under 1200F. If you turn it up too much there will be over pressurization and the screw on the side of the IP will leak and eventually break.

It is all about you drive it after you turn it up. It is no differnt than any old direct injected diesel. People think a little fuel and kaboom. That is really not fact. If you hold it on the floor at 100 percent load you will melt something. I have melted a few down but it wont happen if you keep the egt under control and driving the truck is night and day if you turn it up enough.

ok, i will try tomorrow (thanks for responses!!).
Another question: when you say turn, you say turn "clockwise"???or inverse?In Europe our trucks have the two rotations (clockwise and sometimes other) for the IP...not a novice question...but safety question!!

very nice on my roads!!!In france roads tolerance is 2m55 max wide, so the deuce is ok!
But just a little more power...

How can you tell if your fuel is already turned up? I recently bought a project bobber that was in use by the NG pretty much until the time it was sold by GL. It has the FDC bypassed. When I drove it home with a chase vehicle and GPS in the truck it would sustain 61 mph on the interstate at about 2400 rpm. It does not smoke. I have ordered a pyro to install, and was curious what temp it was pulling. We had to work on it to get it running because of a stuck fuel shutoff. Is it possible we got something out of adjustment in a good way? By the way it is on 900-20 tires and as far as I know the trans has not been modified in any way.
