batteries where fully charged, needle in the yellow drove truck a while once truck was turned off no start had to pull start and has no gauges or lights seems to me alternator right?

If someone has a complete dead alternator they want to donate, I'll take it apart and source the parts. I used to work for a after market supplier and know all about the Prestolite/Leece Neville 24V alternators. I can get the parts if they are available.

Same offer for starters.

So it's probably the voltage regulator. I got one down here, but I can't give it away, and I'll need the core for future rebuild.

We need to make sure he has verified it by walking him through a few simple steps, this way he does not miss the rally, and we all have helped a friend out! Forget rebuilding it, no one around here knows squat about them, trust me I am in the auto business and I know more than the rebuilders do!
