Not sure where you are going with the coffee whitener, I assume its like our coffee creamer and is slightly flammable but we have used backing flour here. Yeah I would not use the liquid flamable idea, just seems to be asking for a projectile with the tube. Also here we can get cannon grain size powder. It will cut down on some of your load weight and un-burned powder. I got to give you this though.

Setoyta you have a live 37mm, that is cool.

The gun has a plate in the barrel and the Obturator ring has been removed but i have a few of them in the box;-) and i am told that i can hold a live one on my fire arms cert i know of a few 25 pounders on ticket.

You are right Jamesfrom180 coffee creamer and the powder was fine in the bottom and coarse on top, i am interested in this backing powder what is it ? As for the tube idea we are now using silk bags

its not baking powder but good ole fashion baking flower. If you are asking about "backing" powder to increase pressure I would think the flower would work. Just white flower. We use aluminum foil maybe in a sewn bag. I have used it for blanks in muskets and rifles. Now as for cannon powder the grain size is pretty large. Looks like pencil lead(graphite) I think it comes in X, XX, XXX. with the same gradation as F, FF, FFF. the more letters the finer the grain. I've also heard you can actually make the powder by a process that is pretty old. You end up extruding the powder again in pellets that you want.:beer:across the pond. All I get to play with is a 1 inch swivel gun. I would like a 12lb naval gun. I currently have a rifled barrel to build a 37mm and am researching the hoops to jump through to build.

Well its far more simpler to own a howitzer you just go and buy one BUT with a pistol you need all sorts of things and you get a lot of government crap they are prety strict over pistols here.

Let me get this straight......you can't own a pistol in the UK but you can own a howitzer?:cookoo:
YUP - They figger it's hard to tuck a Howitzer in your britches and go start a gunfight in the local pub.... but a PISTOL.... You'd better NOT carry one of those bloody things in the Queen's England :deadhorse:

That reminds me of something my Dad liked to quote....

"I once joined a Pistol Club.... Yes, Sir, we'd gather at the bar and then we'd drink all night and Piss-til-Dawn."

Ahh... the fond memories of my Dad's humor.

To be honest the "ATF Stuff " you need to do when registering any class 3 weapon such as a 155mm is not as big of a deal as many people think it is .

There is a one time $200 Transfer Tax that must be payed and you need to send your finger prints to the ATf for the background check . The whole process takes anywhere from 2-6 months on average .

If you do not have a problem with the $200 or the fingerprints the rest is easy .

Not all states allow Destructive Device Class 3 weapons .

In Maryland we can own Destructive Device but no Explosive DD so you can own the 155 but no He rounds for it . lol .

Thanks for showing your 155 that is one awesome TOY .

the forms involved in registering a DD are no more difficult than a EUC. Depending upon the weapon you can do it yourself across state lines if you have a C&R license and the weapon is on the C&R list.

the 155 in question would not even need paperwork if the breech is demilled.
