I just got the M1009 out of the trailer and into the garage this weekend to get moving on the project. I hooked up the batteries and it didn't crank at all. So I checked the relay and all the wiring until I got to the starter and realized it didn't have one! After getting a starter in she fired right up and runs great. Now I can feel good about putting some money into it. Going to start doing body work this week.

Here are some pics I took today. Still need to find a tailgate, driver side door panel. I found the door glass and a set of sliding rear windows for the top. Kind of weird that my truck has one of each on it now. Going to try and start fixing the dents this week. Too bad it looks like they ripped the bracket off the pass side quater panel. Thats going to be the hard one to fix.

Good looking project truck. You should have it in great shape in no time. I really like the hauler you used.

Make sure you install the correct starter support bracket (if you haven't already.)

Been making some progress on the pass side quarter panel this week. The dent has been a bigger pain in the a$$ then I first thought! I picked up a couple of tailgates and I think I'm going to use the black one. It's not all dented like the Mil. one. I just need to swap the guts and pull off the trim panel.

I finished the passenger side now I'm working on the drivers side. The drivers side front fender is too far gone for me. I found a replacement for $75 so it's just not worth the time to fix. I ordered the paint from Alan Haage today and hope to paint it in a few weeks.

Camoyj7 look like you're doing a good job there.Another thing I would do is the doghead starter relay fix.It will save you from troubles down the road.Do a search on here, you will find out about it.
