Does it put out a light smoke at idle, if so it is called hazing. This generally means one or more injectors are leaking. If you rebuild your injectors you need to lap all the mating surfaces. You also need to have them pop tested by a local injector shop. You can adjust the PSI by using shims. Good luck

I dont know what " lap all the mating surfaces" means... I keep reading about Marine injectors. I read apost about buying the marine tips for a 6.5l ...but then i read someone else said they dont fit so he bought 6.5l Marine injectors with a fine thread and was installing them. but the thread left off and didnt get a report on performance....
Anyway getting ready to take her out on the xway I will let you know if my sea monkey foam fixes my injectors.

Hopefully the pic below will help, while it is not a 6.2 injector. The intermediate plate and the nozzle below will mate together, if they are not flat they will leak. The tech will run them on a lapping plate to insure both are flat. Hope this helps. The plate is circled in blue and the nozzle is below.

6.5 injector "most " are calibrated for the DB4 pump not the DB2, you may get into some ineffective fueling issue and pump adjustment issues. I belive the 6.5 injector has a larger opening ect..

And the job can not be done anywere. Must be something like a clean room! Wash your hands, keep everthing that looks somewhat dirty or dusty out of the range of your work side. ANY peace of debris will make injectors leak!

Your not going to believe this.... I pulled out of my driveway after changing the oil, didnt have time to run the sea foam thru the system and It ran great. I forgot the last time I changed the oil...
So an OIL CHANGE fixed it.

Now my next problem...gremlins moved to glow Plug system relay kept clicking on and off and no drop in my voltage. GPs not getting power. Just put in AC60Gs last month...but this will be a new thread.

If you are planning on going out and runnin the crap out of it and you do in fict have a stuck injectors then you will be searching for a new engine. Be careful, You are deffinately dumping to much fuel. To much fuel means to much heat to much heat means melt down....

I see the problem is solved so disregaurd. I have a hard time believeing the oil change fixed it. Unless it was very low on oil and the friction was makeing the motor struggle.

Did you check the propper setting of the IP. There is a mark in the housing and a mark on the IP fange. These two markings MUST be perfect in line.

Not to Hi Jack the thread, I have a few questions.
Does anyone have a picture of these scribe marks? I will soon be replacing my IP and need to become familiar with them. Also, Can the New pump be installed incorrectly? Other than lining up the dowel pin on the IP Shaft to it's gear inside the engine is anything else required? For Example: TDC Cyl 1 of the Engine with Known position of the IP etc?

I thoght about taking a picture... it is right in front of you when your looking at your IP. Just wipe off the oil where the IP bolts to the Oil gizmo. Its right there on top...

I cant hardly believe that an Oil change fixed the problem. I changed the oil, added sea foam and some K1 to the tank but never started it till this afternoon. i backed out of the driveway and it felt like a different truck.... maybe the gremlins will come back... i dont know but she drove a lot better today than yesterday. I hate to admit this but My last oil change might have been 6 months ago. Been too busy welding brackets and changing glow plugs, and replacing sheet metal...etc... Just forgot about the oil. I took a sharpie and wrote my change date on my new oil filter.

I take it all back...I drove it today and its running Bad. I had to down shift going up hills.... acts like it did that time I had a bad fuel filter...But I just put in a new one.
What are the symptoms of a bad fuel pump?...
Maybe a clogged fuel sock?

Maybe your intake is clogged? Maybe a rodent made a nest?

Sure sounds like not enough air, too much fuel, or timing.

You could try advancing the timing slightly by rotating the pump towards the driver side. Only do so when the engine is OFF.

Ok Im messing with my truck today... I got the top off the Injector pump. There is a gizmo on the lid that has a black seinoid that the pink wire conects to...I think. The O ring around the inside had some crud on it. Im sure it is from me putting Veggie oil in my system. Im going to turn up the screw a 1/4 turn, If I can I am going to advance the timing a little.
What does this plunger do???

That solenoid is the on/off solenoid.

If the truck was running well and then lost power, turning the fuel up isn't the answer, you need to find out what caused the lack of power. All turning the fuel up might do is mask the problem until the gets worse and gives out totally.

Have you checked/cleaned the check valve on the return line?

Ok I just put it back together, took her for a test drive...so i can feel the extra power... Now I notice a little "surging" Air in the the system maybe? I also pulled the hose on my EGR.. CDR CCR You know what it is. I noticed some oil residue in the air breather. Also OIL was in the bottom of the CDR hose... got a pic. How can I tell if the CDR is bad and if it letting too much into the system would that cause a lack of power?
