Admitting the CUCV to the hospital...
and letting the professionals do it.
With limited time, tools, and space, I finally (with some prodding from the higher ups) called a mechanic. Threads for reference-

It won't be cheap, but if it gets back on the road well worth it. I felt like the guy on the "chevy runs deep" commercial.
Backing it out of the garage and onto a trailer with no front wheels looked fun.
