    Removable Top Question

I think it would just tear the eye bolts out since there is no support inside. I saw on here i idea that would work great, He used 4 pieces of 2x4 into the ground with another 2x4 on top so that they are parell and high and wide enough to pull the vehicle under and lift the back up and put a 2x4...

Why do people bash the CUCV?

If you read the Wikipedia Article it also says that in the 80's they were trying to get better gas mileage then power as that was the time of the oil crisis, the 6.2l got better miage then the 4.3l GM V6. Below is quote from the article "The original 6.2 L (379 cu in) Diesel V8 was introduced...

    push or pull the fuel

It is better to push, the reason they moved the fuel pump back by the tank is so on a hot day you don't get air bubbles in your fuel after you park. I don't know if this is true on a diesel but on a old gas engine with a mechanical fuel pump this was a problem.

    air in fuel system

Are you sure your fuel pump is turning on? The fuel pump would push fuel back up to the injection pump. It sounds like you are having the same problem i did, until i added a electric fuel pump, then it stopped. Because by turning the pump on before starting it would push fuel up to the injection...

    GP Relay Grounded?

    GP Relay Grounded?

No it should not, the rubber is there only to reduce vibrations, to protect the relay. no need to ground it

    air in fuel system

I would look between the fuel pump and the injection pump for leaks. Also did you clean the return line valve on the injection pump?

    air in fuel system

Oh ok never mind i thought you were having trouble starting it with the air leak.
  14. 1986Blazerk5

    air in fuel system

Do you have a electric pump or is that a typo? If there is air in the system the electric fuel pump would push fuel back to the injection pump
