A while back I purchased a new/ refurbished PRC-77 in the box. A Sea Cadet unit asked if they could take it out on an outing just to see what it was like to have a radio man. In 20 years I/ We never broke an on/ off switch but give a radio to 10 to 17 year olds and guess what? Yup, broke off the...

    5 gal gas can straw

Not sure of this one but can I use a straw and cap meant for a gravity fed tent stove for an auxiliary fuel tank for a MEP-015A? I know the MEP isn't gravity fed but just wondered if it would work if I flipped the straw around and use it as if it were to go into a 55 gal. drum. Thanks!

Are you kidding me? Squealling coming from generator

To be honest, I would have bet a hundred bucks it wasn't the belts but what you, (and others) are saying makes sense. I will get a matching set of belts and get them tightened properly and see where that takes me. In short, I wasted my time changing generators?

So if it is the belts, how tight should they be?

Are you kidding me? Squealling coming from generator

The noise is unbearable. You can't be anywhere near the truck and the sad thing is we use it in parades. Why is it squealing?

1 belt is 1/2 and the other is 3/4 inch play. But why does the noise stop when the switch is off?
