    Cut the bell end off a valve stem. Take a short piece of 1/4" rubber hose and clamp the valve stem in one end of the hose. Remove one of the vent tubes and clamp the hose to the fuel tank. Crimp the vent line you took off with a pair of vise grips. Put about 10lbs of air in the tank via the...

    Thanks for that information. I have a couple trucks with that engine. I haven't had it happen yet but I will know what to look for when it does. One thing I like about those engines is how easy they start. it barely cranks over and fires up :-D

    Engine Size Yes that's the 6CTA8.3 Cummins used between 1999 and 2002 in the M939's.

    M923 with Peculiar cold start

    Just wanted to report back. I rigged up a way to pressurize the fuel tank with 10PSI and found two leaks. There was a tiny pin hole in the plastic line to the primer pump and the bolt in the top of the fuel filter was leaking. It had an O ring but the washer was turned and wasn't dropping down...

    If they don't hold air If your tires won't hold air and you need to replace the O-Rings in the wheels I can refer you to a couple suppliers.
