Dewey BAPU 3500 watt mobile setup

I ordered the tank on Ebay, search for “spun aluminum fuel tanks” It is 7 gallons. I had to drill a hole in the filler neck and install a through hull style fitting for the return line. This didnt work as well as i planned, it really needs to have a bung welded in. If you can find a tank with a...

Does the 531 really need the Supertrapp disc exhaust stack?

I struggled with getting my first 531 running until i figured out that the Supertrapp disc/exhaust tuning diffuser was hopelessly plugged with oil and carbon. My experience with Supertrapp exhaust systems was with 4 stroke dirtbikes where you could tune the bike by adding or removing discs from...

Prepping a Gen trailer for the road home.

I would definitely get a couple spare tires. I had one of the OE 37" tires and runflat inserts grenade on the Grapevine a few weeks ago. It took out the wiring for the lights and almost caught on fire. The tire remains were wrapped all around the axle and it was a major PITA to get it off (on...

Thanks for the tips gentlemen, i will likely be using some of the fuel in a Ram truck with DPF equipped engine so I think ai’ll try to rinse out as much hydraulic as I can. I am surprised to hear that I don’t need to line the drums with an epoxy paint or anything. I have an mmg. 25 USMC genset...

55 gal fuel storage drum preparation?

I acquired two 55 gal drums that contained the hydraulic fluid for an elevator that was just installed. Other than rinsing it out, is there anything else I should do prior to filling them with diesel for long term back up generator storage?

    MEP-531a tank bushing

On page 0029-3 of your linked pdf the part is #15. Don't see an NSN number but maybe its in towards the end. In the maint section it said that you need to torque this thing down and then install the drain cock. Mine just spins, is there a technique to reach inside the tank and hold the other...
