Trying to confirm U bolt torque for a dana 70 rear axle on a M1028.
On a chart I found 120,
but also see 170 and 180. anybody have this information or has done this? it would be greatly appreciated.
No I was expecting to see a melted terminal on one of those batteries, but nothing and no real physical thing so I guess it blew up inside. they do stay on a battery minder small trickle charger when not in use. they lasted 6 years so I shouldn't complain.

Added the new headlight fuse holder to the right after connecting the wires directly behind box front.
Installing 2 new batteries did the trick, started up no problem.
I was very surprised though when it failed the loud boom that it made, and what caused that?

Yes getting ready to go buy 2 batteries it was crazy how the voltage was there threw me off until I carbon pile tested

Well one battery did fail the carbon pile test . so most likely the cause of issue.
but while I'm into it, let's clean up some of the other Terminal issues,
Like the headlight fuse, that terminals melted Along with fuse block where that one goes. going to pull another separate fuse Holder and...
Will be doing more investigation today. looking for black Or burnt spot with such a loud boom occurring.
To confirm battery condition will perform carbon pile test on both batteries to confirm condition.
My set up does have the dog head conversion.
