Is this a 2 or 4" inch lift?

Looks like factory stock height to me. Do you have any other pics, and tire size on the pickup in the picture? I have a poor man's 2" lift on mine, and mine looks to have a lot more lift than that one. Did a 1" ORD Body Lift, new poly body bushings, and 1" ORD Zero Rates, that netted me an...

Trimming advice / pattern for 35"??

I run 315/70R17 Treadwright retreads on BF Goodrich carcasses on my M1008. . They actually measure 33.5" at 35 psi, specs say 34.7" at 50 psi. These tires might work without any lift, but would probably be very close when flexed out. Have a 1" ORD body lift with new body mounts and ORD 1" Zero...

    Dana 60 Spline Count?

Shopped around a bit and got a Detroit Locker ordered. Is for a set of M1008 axles we are putting under a civilian K30 project. My shop mechanic and my 17 year old son will do the install. They completely tore down and rebuilt the rear 14FF, and then had another mechanic check out the gear set...

    Dana 60 Spline Count?

What is the spline count on a M1008 Dana 60, 30 or 35? Need to order a Detroit Locker. Anybody know the Detroit part/model number I need? And yes, I have searched with no luck. I search other forums with no problems, but seldom am ever able to find anything searching this forum. I'm not the...

I made a cover for my Doghead relay mod.

Not tying to be negative, but why? I know of several CUCVs with the Doghead relay mod without a cover with no problems, and have never heard of needing a cover before.

Dana 60 front w/ crossover steering?

Be sure to install one of these, http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/steeringkit.htm or you risk cracking the frame at the steering box when running oversize tires.

    Lift/tires M1031.

I have the axle pushed one inch forward on my M1008, and steering is not a problem. for a mainly street rig, 1 1/2" forward may not be a problem, but would most likely not be ideal for offroad use. With 1 1/2" forward, crossover steering may be best.

    Lift/tires M1031.

Do a 1" body lift with new body mounts, and 1" zero rates for 2" of easy and cheap lift. Also use the zero rate to move the front axle forward 1.5" http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm , http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/oneinchlift.htm , and...

    M1008 Transmission Line

Can't seem to locate a transmission line for my M1008. Local Napa has searched hi and low, but says it is unavailable. Internet searches have come up empty handed also. From TM 9-2320-289-20P pages142-143 Transmission Oil Cooler Line, part #14045628, PIPE ASM-TRNS Oil C (80.64" LG), make...

Form fitted rubber flooring for M1008 CUCV?

LMC is another option, but I have no personal experience to judge quality of construction and fit. Maybe someone who has used them will chime in. Rubber floor here http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=135 Sound deadener and heat shield kits here...
