Living in a small community has some advantages. I was in and out of my local DMV in ten minutes when I licensed my M923A2. Idaho is easy, you can get non commercial truck plates up to 60,000 pounds. My truck is registered the same as almost every large farm truck .

I got this one from Artisan , it will hold two switches and indicator lights. I think he also makes a larger one, they are very good quality. This reminds me I still need to get my auxiliary lights mounted.

When my shut off solenoid quit I just removed it and use the emergency shut off, pull to cut the fuel and push it back in to start. Just remember the proper shut down sequence.

I have thought about it, but I think a person could buy one cheaper than I could make one for if i had to buy the materials . Almost all of the parts I used came out of the inside of the muffler when I gutted it.

Works great. Opens when it should,closes when it should and no rattles. This picture is at idle.

A quick project to keep the birds and bees from trying to make my exhaust pipe their new home. It also keeps me from blasting the truck in the next lane over with soot.

Glad you made it out. I have been in situations like this and each one taught me valuable lessons I will never forget. I have been watching a lot of off road videos from Australia, I see them using Maxtrax extrication mats all the time. I don't know if they would have worked in your situation...

Looks good, I can't wait to see how this turns out. I have been thinking about doing something similar to my truck and incorporating some roll over protection into the cab.

Nice thing about Idaho is you can drive any vehicle with a regular operators drivers license as long as it is not for commerce, so we should be good and legal here. With a little instruction I think I will do ok and not run anyone over, I can't wait. Reminds me of my first California driving...
