i used a HVLP spray gun and air compressor to paint the truck. The paint is Awlgrip, it is marine paint, I figured it would hold up really well and it does. Here is a link to for the paint. http://www.awlgrip.com/awlgrip-home.aspx

Hi Kyle, good question on flipping the hubs. No, you do not (and cannot) flip the hubs on a 900 series truck. A buddy of mine told me he flipped the hubs on his 5 ton so I was ready to flip my hubs around. Until I disassembled the first one and quickly realized that wasn't going to work, later...

Thanks for the nice comments on my truck, I'm really proud of it, it's like having a life size Tonka truck! I paintel the truck with AWL Grip marine paint and primer, the color is "desert sand" and I had it mixed with a flattening agent. My new tires really aren't much bigger than my other...

i thought my blocking was perfectly safe, however, it wasn't my preferred set up but I really didn't see a lot of blocking and lifting options under the truck. The proximity of the jack to the blocks and the spring bracket bolts made it impossible to do a lot of fancy blocking. The blocks I used...

I had no problems whatsoever, though I was very cautious because of the extreme weight. I made sure everything was perfectly centered, it wasn't a problem at all. Plate steel sounds good but steel on steel is a little slippery for me, I prefer plywood on steel IMO. Anyhow, the truck is sitting...

I'm curious about speed as well which I will have to check on GPS because I'm certain the larger diameter tires affect the accuracy of the current speedo. my speedometer use to read sixty with my previous set up. Also, from what I understand the SS tires are rated at lower speed the the dual...

Well, for a "moderator" you chose your words poorly. You didn't have to include "while the paint was drying" or "static display truck", that just came across as un cool. so I will write it one last time.....i didn't think your question was stupid, I thought your comments were stupid...

Well, I think you should go back and read what I wrote....."Stupid comments" it was a legitimate question, sprinkled with left handed comments. FYI, the first thing I did was check the entire braking system of the truck, don't have to take the wheels off to check brake shoe clearance, etc. But...
