the Pickle is my daily ride....

I have discovered that the kick panel air vents are good for a foot shower when it rains....makes you wonder how the commercial grade K5 stayed dry.

I suppose what I should say that I used the port that was being used to feed the lighter that was installed on the 1009 ( aka the pickle). I placed a 10a fuse in line with the feed to the Acc box. I am not so sure that these trucks came equipped with lighters or as it seems in the pickle's case...

I just installed a 12v accessories port using the 12v feed for the cigarette lighter. So now I can run the GPS on the phone. Well not so much a GPS as much as WAZE. I need to follow my SPEED.

well a new to me IP and some paint put the Pickle back on the road....Replaced the vac pump and the works great

I had been having an issue with the driver's door window hanging when rolling up...well I thought I was going to have to replace the regulator but being the cheap person I am, I pulled the trim and after allot....ALLOT of lubing the window works better than new....grease but before you replace!

I was wondering, being that the vacuum pump is a diaphragm style air pump, under a vacuum should the pump hold a vacuum when applied. In the processes of chasing down some shifting issues I wanted to test the pumps ability to operate. When operating the psi runs 2-12", If I am not mistaken I...

UPDATE.....replaced Gen 1 with a non Mil-Spec Gen, installed a cheap belt from Advance Auto. Hooked everything back up and fired the Pickle up. No surging on the Volt Meter. Ran for several minutes to allow the belt to seat. Checked belt, so far so good....Drove for a bit stopped checked mail...
