    transmission temp

Could you please post some pictures of your work? This is something I'd love to do to my truck and I want to know what I'm up against. Did you have to add a resistor for the GEN 2 light circuit to get the alternator excited?

How did you accomplish this? Did you have to cut into the instrument wiring harness?

    Replacing ignition lock cylinder M1009

I just did this on my M1009 and there was no screw holding the lock cylinder in, only pure evil! No matter what I did it would not come out. I had multiple people try, had the TMs and a chilton book, no luck. Eventually I just pulled the whole housing that the lock cylinder was in to get my new...

    DRMO/GL McCoy pick up/drive off?

I paid to have my M1009 shipped and I'm glad I did. You won't really "know" your truck until you put some miles and hours into going all over it. Some CUCVs were well maintained and a lot of others weren't so lucky, think along the lines of new recruits getting their first chance at driving...

    wipers... will not return

I used Cardone part 40-180, same wiper motor with the pump built in just in case anyone wants an all-in-one replacement.

I'm wondering this myself for when I get my second CUCV, I'd like to put a set of those heaters in for the winter.
