    starter/flywheel question

alright, so here is what's going on. i talked to the transmission guy. he says that he wouldn't have taken the starter out when pulling the transmission and has no responsibility for the starter brace not being attached. however, he did agree that he should have inspected the flywheel to...

    Transmission Shifting Test Ques??

Hey Guys, Have a question. I've put about 12k miles on my m1009 and everything has run fine. In the last week or two, it has developed the standard rough/late shift. It wants to shift out of first somewhere between 25-33, but 2nd is still fine. On my truck, the regulator was already...

    Stumped

i didn't see anything about this so far, but air in the fuel line is a common problem and makes starting these things seem impossible. one easy way to tell, is when the engine is cold, open the bleed valve on the filter housing and see if fuel comes out. if so, you have some pressure. if not...

I am thinking about doing something stupid and looking for some feedback. Has anyone previewed Barstow for the GL auction ending today? Just curious about the general shape of trucks coming out of there. Thanks

M1009 starts, stalls, starts, sounds like crap

I had the exact same problem, squeaking belts and all. Starts right away, dies. It usually takes two sets of good cranking with the pedal down to get it to fire after that. I just replaced all of my belts and was pretty sure I had them at the right tension. Eventually, my new belts settled a...

    cucv fueling rate

electric pump what does 6-10 psi look like coming out of a pump?...ballpark I ask because after finally tracking down some fuel related starting issues i can understand why having an electric pump, on a switch, can be a huge help in certain situations. I was given a pump that my friend used...

    12 acc on 24volt?

There is a 12 volt tie in point on the firewall on the driver's side, just to the left of the brake booster (looking from the front of the truck). This is where all of the vehicles accessories are tied into. The bus bar on left is 24 volt, top is hot, the bottom is ground.
