Deuce and a half questions about transmission

I can do that Rusty, but normally don't. Never tried it from 1st to 2nd though.

Deuce and a half questions about transmission

I have the A2 version with a manual transmission, and like the ability to decide which gear I want to use at a certain speed. By shifting gears manually, usually by sound and feel, I become one with the truck, which I enjoy. I also have manual transmissions in my F350 pickup and Jeep YJ.

Look what caught my eye (injection pump)

cattlerepairman, I've read that Oliver used "White" LDT/LDS engines in their tractors back in the day also.

M105A2 crank up landing leg question

BKubu, If you're working alone maybe a strategicly placed piece of small rope would help prevent the landing gear from dropping with no guidance.

    Electro Magnetic Pulse

I have a question about the modern day military vehicles and the affects EMP. I bought my 1970 M35A2 because I like the way they look, 6 x 6 capability, winch, ability to work on myself, and the simplicity of the electrical system. My understanding is that these old primitive trucks will not be...

    power loss maybe...multiple questions...

First thing I would do is take that camper out and go for a drive. You did say you noticed the loss in power right after adding the camper, plus changing to the 395 tires is going to eat some power too. With that said, I too have been wrong many times before. Lol

    New headlight switch smoking

Thank you for the advice you gave before you deleted it, and I do agree with your procedure.

    New headlight switch smoking

Thank you for simplifying the diagnostic process TOBASH, I'm just a retired industrial electrician, not a surgeon.

    New headlight switch smoking

Yes, I agree G744. My smoke came from the blinker switch on the steering column, probably out of the hole were the green cover is.

    New headlight switch smoking

I had a problem with my Deuce burning up turn signal switches on the steering column. I would install a new signal switch and as soon as I moved the arm to test, a small puff of smoke would come out of the signal switch. I put a completely knew front wiring harness on and burnt up two more...

    New headlight switch smoking

So the "thin wires to gauges and aftermarket projects" would be the point of smoke ?

    New headlight switch smoking

Not saying you're wrong TOBASH, but could you give me an example? I just can't imagine a scenario where this would occur.
