Yes. I'm thinking there are different springer bases. I had a springer seat in my Deuce, and I bought two new springer base's, and they both had different hole patterns then my old springer base/Deuce floor. I had to make a template, and re-drill the new base to match the floor.

Yea, if it was just the cracked flare, I would just cut it and try to get someone to redo the double flare. I don't have a double flare mandrel that big. But since it's got a big dent in it anyway, I'll try to get a Hydraulic flex line made to replace it.
Had a leak at the out-put side of primary fuel filter. Spent half the day taking out the primary and line, since I could not get the line loose at the filter for nothing. I have just about every size crow foot,(1/4" - 2 1/2".) except a 3/4".

I'm pretty sure it's always been purple right out of the bottle. (At least for the last 35 years that I know of) It does turn yellow with age when it's in a vehicle though.
Not wanting to argue, but it's not so simple as just pushing out one fluid with the other. You'll never get all of one fluid out by trying to push it out with another.
