I think I’ve got it sorted out. Dealing with two different manufacturers and both have turned out to be exceptional after being rebuffed initially. Getting the whole OEM assembly and connectors.

The only time clearance is an issue is when the steering wheel is turned all the way left or right. Even then, it didn't cause me a problem.
